The invention relates to water-soluble, hydrophobic-associating copolymers that contain new hydrophobic-associating monomers. The monomers contain one ethylenically unsaturated group, as well as a polyester group with a block structure of one hydrophilic block of polyalkylene oxide, which consists mainly of ethylene oxide groups, and one end, hydrophobic block of polyalkylene oxide, which consists of at least 4 alkylene oxide, preferably at least 5 carbon atoms. |
