titleOfInvention | METHOD OF OBTAINING DIRECT RECOVERY IRON |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method for direct reduction of iron ore, performed by means of an aggregate comprising a gravity furnace (2), which has at least one iron ore reduction zone (8) in the upper part of the aforementioned and at least one carbon deposit (9) and one cooling zone (10) of the reduced metal in the lower part of the above and means for loading the reducing gas mixture into the reactor in accordance with the reduction zone, means for recycling the exhaust or thodyaschego reactor gas from the reactor to a synthesis gas and mixing the recycle gas with natural gas to form a reducing gas mixture. In accordance with the invention, in the first stage (5) of conversion, unreacted carbon monoxide CO and steam present in the exhaust reactor gas are converted to carbon dioxide and hydrogen in accordance with the water gas conversion reaction CO + HO = CO + H, to the second the conversion stage, the dehydrated reactor off-gas, comprising mainly carbon dioxide and hydrogen, is treated to remove carbon dioxide and in the third conversion stage physical separation of both nitrogen and carbon monoxide from the reducing agent is performed th synthesis gas to reduce the levels of CO and any existing other gases in the recycled gas to as low level as possible to recycle the reducing gas was as possible an approximation to a pure hydrogen H. |
