The claimed agent has antiseptic, antimicrobial, disinfectant, antiviral and antifungal properties with a broad spectrum of action, has analgesic properties, is used to prevent stomatitis, tonsillitis, sore throats, etc. Therapeutic and prophylactic agent for the care of the oral cavity and throat contains chlorhexidine, lidocaine hydrochloride, menthol, ethyl alcohol and water in the following ratio of components, wt.%: Chlorhexidine 0.01-1.0; lidocaine hydrochloride 0.01-10.0; menthol 0.001-1.0; ethyl alcohol 0.50-30.0; purified water - the rest.
