titleOfInvention METHOD AND DEVICE TO REDUCE THE CONTENT OF ACETALDEHYDE IN POLYESTER GRANULE
abstract The invention relates to a method for producing a granulate with a low acetaldehyde content and improved processing properties from a high-viscosity polyester melt, wherein a tow from a polyester melt is crushed under water as possible at a high temperature, the accompanying water is separated from the granulate with as little cooling as possible of the granulate, thus the resulting granulate containing a small amount of water, after separating the water, is directly introduced into the de-aldehyde tank, and the granulate in the de-aldehyde tank is treated with a purge air stream; and also to a device for implementing the method.
