abstract The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for topical administration containing at least one active ingredient, its salts, esters, hydrates or derivatives; a gelling system containing a mixture of surfactants, a solvent system containing at least one oil component; water phase; optionally containing one or more stabilizing agents and other pharmaceutically acceptable excipients; and a method for producing such compositions. The invention also relates to a method for the treatment / treatment of fungal, bacterial or microbial infections, inflammations, autoimmune conditions or hormonal disorders, which comprises administering to the patient a pharmaceutically effective amount of such a pharmaceutical composition. The compositions of the invention are non-greasy and easily washed off with water and provide enhanced localization of hydrophobic and / or amphiphilic active ingredients on the skin.
