titleOfInvention METHOD OF SEPARATION OF INTERMEDIATE CONNECTIONS THAT MAY BE USED FOR RECEIVING THE ESCITAL PREMA
abstract The invention relates to a method for the separation and isolation of an acylated derivative of 4 - [(S) -4-dimethylamino-1- (4-fluorophenyl) -1-hydroxybutyl] -3-hydroxymethylbenzonitrile by reacting a mixture of 4- [(S) -4-dimethylamino 1- (4-fluorophenyl) -1-hydroxybutyl] -3-hydroxymethylbenzonitrile and its acylated derivative with a compound that forms the derivative 4 - [(S) -4-dimethylamino-1- (4-fluorophenyl) -1-hydroxybutyl] - 3-hydroxymethylbenzonitrile containing a carboxylic acid group. The acylated derivative containing a carboxylic acid group precipitates immediately after its formation and can be easily separated from the reaction mixture.
