titleOfInvention METHOD OF OBTAINING 1-OCTENE
abstract A two-stage method for producing 1-octene from butadiene, comprising: the first stage (a), in which bis-hydrodimerization of butadiene with the formation of 1,7-octadiene is carried out in the presence of a catalyst based on a palladium complex containing one or more trisubstituted monodentate phosphine in an aprotic polar a solvent optionally containing an organic base; the second stage (b), in which partial catalytic hydrogenation of 1,7-octadiene is performed; wherein said method is characterized in that: (i) in the first step, the aprotic polar solvent is selected from disubstituted cyclic ureas; (ii) in the second stage, the catalyst is selected from ruthenium complexes without a carrier having the general formula (II): RuXL (II).
