The present invention relates to the prevention and treatment of cerebral insufficiency, including an increase in receptors functioning in the synapses in the brain networks responsible for higher order behavior. These brain networks are responsible for cognitive functions related to memory disorders, which are observed in different types of dementia, as well as an imbalance of neuronal activity between different areas of the brain that occurs in diseases such as Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia and emotional illness.
