titleOfInvention METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR DEFOLIATION OF AGRICULTURAL PLANTS AND MINIMIZATION OF APPEARANCE OF SECONDARY ESCAPES AFTER DEFOLIATION
abstract Simultaneous or sequential use of an auxin transfer inhibitor and a defoliant nonadditively improves defoliation of agricultural plants and minimizes the formation of repeated growth. Preferably, the auxin transfer inhibitor is a semicarbazone compound. The defoliant can be an agent that causes an ethylene or ethylene-like reaction, such as a phosphonic acid derivative. Most preferably, the semicarbazone compound is diflufenzopyr, and the phosphonic acid derivative is ethephon, i.e. ethephone (2-chloroethyl) phosphonic acid. The international search report was published on 2001.11.15.
