The present invention relates to a bioavailable pharmaceutical composition based on the acid form of 13-cis-vitamin A (also known as 13-cis-retinoic acid or isotretinoin) and the process for its preparation. The acidic form of 13-cis-vitamin A is a relatively water-insoluble substance that decomposes under the action of light and atmospheric oxygen. Instability and relative insolubility hamper the bioavailability of this drug when administered orally, which has always caused problems for pharmacists when developing compositions. Thus, it is desirable to create a dosage form that ensures the stability and predictable bioavailability of the medicinal substance. The international application was published along with an international search report. |
