abstract | The present invention relates to a composition for the treatment of skin infections caused by the papillomavirus (HPV), in particular for the treatment of warts and related pathologies. Compositions for the treatment of skin infections caused by the papillomavirus is a collodion-based composition containing acetylsalicylic acid. Preferably the composition contains 50-80 wt.% collodion and 10-30 wt.% acetylsalicylic acid. The composition may further contain glycol. The composition may also additionally contain a substance with antivascular activity, and/or a substance that promotes treatment in order to eliminate neoplasms or warts, and/or a substance with analgesic or anesthetic action, and a solvent. Preferably the solvent is a mixture of ethanol and ethyl ether. The invention also relates to a kit for the treatment of skin infections caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), the kit includes a collodion-based composition containing acetylsalicylic acid and a device with abrasive mechanical properties for mechanical removal of the lesion. |
