titleOfInvention GAS SENSOR FOR GAS COMPONENT DETECTION
abstract The invention relates to a gas sensor for detecting a gas component. The gas sensor contains a sensitive layer, first and second electrodes and a heating element. The sensitive layer contains 20-95 wt% tungsten oxide and 5-80 wt% elemental tungsten. The combination of tungsten oxide and elemental tungsten forms at least 60% by weight of the sensing layer. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a gas sensor comprising the step of depositing a sensitive layer using a physical vapor deposition technique.
