abstract | The invention relates to a method for protecting adenovirus caused by interaction with plastic, and the use of 2-hydroxypropyl - cyclodextrin for protecting adenovirus. Describes a method for ensuring protection of adenovirus from destruction caused by interaction with a surface, where said adenovirus is contained in a solution in a bag consisting of a plastic selected from the group of ethylene vinyl acetate, polyamide and polyethylene, and where said method includes the step of adding 2-hydroxypropyl - cyclodextrin to the specified solution in a concentration of from about 1% (w / w) to about 30% (w / w). The addition of 2-hydroxypropyl-cyclodextrin to a solution containing adenovirus stored in a biotech bag unexpectedly prevents the destruction of said virus caused by interaction with a plastic surface. |
