abstract The invention provides a method, a device for dedusting exhaust gases, as well as a dedusting agent used in the method. A dust-containing exhaust gas (1) and an organic dedusting agent (4) are introduced respectively into the dedusting column (3), while they interact with each other in the column; at least a portion of the water vapor in the dust-containing exhaust gas (1) condenses, and the organic de-dusting agent (4) and condensed water adsorb solid particles, acidic pollutants, organic pollutants and / or heavy metal compounds in the dust-containing exhaust gas; the resulting purified gas (2) is removed or subjected to further processing. Organic dedusting agent (4) contains a non-toxic high boiling point organic solvent composition containing two or more components selected from cooking oil, organosilicon oil, modified organosilicon oil, liquid tar oil, tung seed oil, liquid paraffin oil, mineral oil, palm oil and used cooking oil.
