Devices and systems are provided having a block with an adsorbent layer for use in a cyclic short-cycle adsorption process. This process is used to remove contaminants from the feed gas streams. A block with an adsorbent layer includes a node of thermal polygonal contact filters with each of the thermal polygonal contact filters having one or more internal channels, and two or more thermal polygonal contact filters form one or more external channels. External channels have an absorbent coating, which is used to remove contaminants from gas streams. |
