The invention relates to (isolated) recombinant proteins, which are also referred to as improved MAT molecules (iMAT), comprising at least one translocation module, at least one targeting module and at least one antigenic module, where at least one cysteine residue is substituted using an excellent amino acid residue. Such iMAT molecules are useful, in particular, as vaccines, for example, for therapy and / or for the prevention of allergies and / or infectious diseases and / or to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases in horses.
