abstract | A method for limiting or reducing the permeability of the parent rock to the flow of liquid and gas is described. The method includes restricting the flow of water and / or gas into channels, such as cavities, cracks, voids, etc., occurring in formations, such as geological formations. The method includes the steps of measuring one or more parameters relating to the parent rock, and selecting one or more components of a multicomponent sealing composition with regard to the measured parameters. The selected components are introduced into the channel where they solidify or coagulate to form a seal. In addition, a method is described in which the channel is sealed with a sealing composition comprising a cement component and a hardener of the cement component. A part of the cement component is mixed with a part of the hardener of the cement slurry, with the proportion of each selected taking into account the measured parameters. The mixture of the cement component and the hardener is introduced into the channel, in which the rate of curing or solidification is controlled by changing the proportions. |
