The invention relates to methods of delivery to the heart of drugs based on oligonucleotides and their analogues. This invention describes a method for the efficient delivery of oligonucleotides into mammalian cardiac muscle cells using nanoparticles based on a copolymer of lactic and glycolic acids (poly (lactic-co-glycolic) acid, PLGA). The invention can be used for the treatment of a wide range of diseases where targeted delivery of genetic therapeutic drugs to the heart, such as, for example, Duchenne myodystrophy, is necessary. |
