abstract An antiperspirant composition is proposed containing less than 2 wt.% Free water, containing from 16 to 34% antiperspirant active agents, including dehydrated alum salt, which is aluminum sulfate or double sulfate of aluminum and potassium, sodium or ammonium and calcium chloride and from 66 to 84 % liquid carrier material containing 50% or more cosmetically acceptable oils having a Hildebrand solubility parameter (HSP) of 18.02 (MPa) or less; 30% or less cosmetically acceptable liquids having an HSP of 18.25 (MPa) or more; 20% or less cosmetically acceptable liquids having an HSP of 18.61 (MPa) or more; and 10% or less cosmetically acceptable liquids having an HSP of 23.20 (MPa) or more, where all percentages are by weight and the molar ratio of calcium chloride to alum salt is more than 1: 1. Also provided is a method for reducing perspiration of a human body, comprising topically applying a composition according to the present invention, and a method for manufacturing said composition.
