titleOfInvention | THERAPY OF PULMONARY FORMS OF HIGH-SPEED DISEASE |
abstract | The invention relates to the field of medicine, and in particular it relates to the treatment of pulmonary form of altitude sickness caused by oxygen starvation and reduced atmospheric pressure. For the treatment and prevention of pulmonary form of altitude sickness, a cyclized peptide has been proposed that consists of 7–20 contiguous amino acids and contains a hexamer TPEGAE, where this peptide does not have the ability to bind to the TNF receptor. The invention also relates to the use of a pharmaceutical composition containing the peptide and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, where the composition is suitable for administration to humans, in the therapy and prevention of a pulmonary form of altitude sickness. With the present invention, it has become possible for the first time to make available medical therapy for pulmonary form of altitude sickness. |
