titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCHAROSPIRTS WITH FIVE-SIXTH CARBON ATOMS |
abstract | The invention provides a method for producing sugar alcohols with five to six carbon atoms in high yield from cellulosic materials. In the first stage, cellulose-containing raw materials (for example, microcrystalline cellulose, alpha-cellulose, wood and cellulose-containing residues, such as bagasse or wood chips) are brought into close contact with the acid by means of impregnation or impregnation of the substrate in the liquid or gaseous phase. Then, the acid-treated and dried raw materials in the second stage are processed by exposure to mechanical energy, resulting in the cellulose-containing materials decomposing into water-soluble products. After this, in the third stage, from these water-soluble products in aqueous solution by hydrolytic hydrogenation, carried out in the presence of a metal-containing catalyst under hydrogen pressure, with high selectivity and high yield, sugar alcohols with five to six carbon atoms are obtained. |
