titleOfInvention | METHOD OF APPLYING A HARDENING COATING TO A CAST IRON PRODUCT |
abstract | The invention relates to the field of engineering, in particular to protective coatings, and can be used to improve the performance properties of various iron products. The task of the invention is to increase the wear resistance of the coating on a cast iron base. The task is solved by the fact that in the method of applying a reinforcing coating on a cast iron product, which includes the sequential deposition of a layer based on titanium with a thickness of 1.0 μm and a layer of titanium compound, before the deposition of a layer based on titanium, the product is treated in oxygen plasma before it forms on its surface a layer of own iron oxide with a thickness of 3-10 nm, aluminum is additionally introduced in the amount of 7–20 wt.% in the layer based on titanium, the thickness of this layer is not less than 0.1 μm, and also because e depositing a layer of titanium compound products heat-treated at a temperature of 400-550 ° C for 10-30 minutes in an inert atmosphere or vacuum. The essence of the proposed technical solution is the complete removal of residual graphite and the formation of a chemical bond between the coating and the base, which ensures their high adhesion. |
