The invention generally relates to methods for processing lignocellulosic biomass into fermentable sugars and to methods based on hydrothermal pretreatment. In particular, the invention relates to a method of processing lignocellulosic biomass, which includes obtaining raw materials based on soft lignocellulosic biomass, pretreatment of raw materials by one-stage hydrothermal pretreatment under very low stringency conditions, separation of the pretreated biomass into a solid fraction and a liquid fraction, hydrolyzing the solid fractions using enzymatic hydrolysis catalyzed by a mixture of enzymes, and further mixing separated the liquid fraction and solid fraction hydrolysed while in the liquid fraction ksilooligomery decomposed to xylose monomers. |
