| abstract |
A single-dose pharmaceutical capsule contains an aspirin tablet and bisoprolol fumarate granules surrounding the tablet. The aspirin tablet is coated with a moisture-proof layer to prevent the chemical interaction between aspirin and bisoprolol fumarate. The barrier layer also protects the aspirin core from moisture penetration, while at the same time preventing the release of aspirin in biological fluids. Aspirin is released from the capsule in vivo to provide peak concentration to peak concentration of bisoprolol. |
