titleOfInvention MICROCAPSULES CONTAINING BACTERIORODOPOPSIN, AND METHOD OF OBTAINING THEM
abstract A method is proposed for obtaining optically activated microcapsules containing bacteriorhodopsin with a diameter of less than 50 microns, preferably less than 10 microns, and with a surrounding layer that protects bacteriorhodopsin from harmful environmental factors and at the same time retains its functionality. In the first stage, the bacteriorhodopsin plaques of the bacteriorhodopsin / purple membrane are suspended in an aqueous medium having a pH in the range of 6 to 9 in the presence of a polymer that holds water, and this suspension is spray dried to obtain a powder or dried in an aliphatic solvent with a low steam pressure followed by removal of water to obtain a powder. In the second stage, the powder thus obtained is coated with a shell that is essentially completely transparent to light in the visible range and consists of a polymer and / or paraffin having a hardening temperature in the range from 45 to 65 ° C and / or carnauba wax, having a melting range of 70 to 90 ° C. In addition, such microcapsules and the use of such microcapsules are described.
