A fusion protein, especially recombinant, containing domain (a), which is a functional fragment of the hTRAIL soluble protein sequence, starting from an amino acid at a position lower than hTRAIL95, or a sequence that has at least 70% homology to this; and domain (b), which is the sequence of the proapoptotic effector peptide, where the sequence of domain (b) is attached to the C-terminus or N-terminus of domain (a). This fusion protein has antitumor activity. The nucleotide sequence encoding the fusion protein, the expression vector and the host cell to produce the fusion protein, and the use of this fusion protein for the treatment of cancer. |
