abstract | The present invention relates to a method for extracting ammonia contained in a gas stream, said method comprising the following steps: (a) washing the ammonia containing gas stream with an aqueous washing solution having a pH below 7.0 to form a purified gas stream and an aqueous solution containing salt ammonium, (b) treatment of an aqueous solution containing ammonium salt, coming from stage (a), in a vertical heat exchanger with a falling film at a temperature of 50 to 250 ° C and at an absolute pressure of 50 kPa to 4 MPa with a sample aniem regenerated washing solution and a gaseous flow comprising NHi HO, (c) directing said regenerated recycle the washing solution in step (a).
