abstract The present invention relates to a chromatographic separation method for fractionating betaine-containing solutions using fractions containing portions of the separation profile as a substitute for the eluent in a new, inventive way. This method provides increased productivity and separation efficiency without compromising the yield or purity of betaine or other products. Mainly, the method can be used in serial MPS separation systems.
