abstract | The present invention relates to a method for treating breast cancer and a method for suppressing proliferation of breast cancer tissues. A method of treating breast cancer involves co-administering to a woman in need thereof a dose of a compound CDB-4124 that suppresses proliferation of breast cancer tissues and an effective amount of an aromatase inhibitor selected from anastrazole, letrozole and DL-aminoglutethimide. A method for suppressing proliferation of breast cancer tissues comprises the step of simultaneously affecting breast cancer tissues with an aromatase inhibitor selected from the group consisting of anastrazole, letrozole and DL-aminoglutetimide and an amount of the compound CDB-4124 that inhibits proliferation. The invention provides a synergistic chemotherapeutic effect in the treatment of breast cancer. |
