The present invention relates to a low, medium or high voltage cable, in which the insulating layer is made of a polyolefin composition containing (i) a crosslinkable polyolefin having hydrolysable silane groups, (A) obtained by copolymerization with an unsaturated silane compound represented by formula (II) where R is an ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbyl, hydrocarbyloxy or (meth)acryloxyhydrocarbyl group, R is an aliphatic saturated hydrocarbyl group, Y, which may be identical or different, is a hydrolysable organic group, q is 0, 1 or 2, and (ii) dihydrocarbyl tin dicarboxylate (B) as a silanol condensation catalyst, having the following formula (I): where R and R are independently hydrocarbyl groups containing at least 6 carbon atoms, and R and R are independently hydrocarbyl groups containing at least 8 carbon atoms, where the cable showing provides improved resistance to electrical breakdown. |
