The present invention relates to a process for converting hydrocarbon compounds containing at least one nitrile group into compounds containing at least one carboxyl group, as well as a process for preparing ester compounds from said carboxylic compounds thus obtained. This method consists in the interaction of a nitrile compound with a hydroxyl compound of a basic nature in a solvent at a temperature of 80-200 ° C, removing the formed ammonia, reacting the formed salt with a mineral acid and isolating a compound containing at least one carboxyl group and, if necessary, esterification of acids obtained by interaction with alcohol. |
