The present invention describes the antibodies and molecules derived from them that bind to the new STEAP-1 protein and its variants, where STEAP-1 has tissue-specific expression in normal adult tissues and is aberrantly expressed in the cancerous tissues listed in Table. I. Therefore, STEAP-1 is a diagnostic, prognostic, prophylactic and / or therapeutic target for anticancer therapy. The STEAP-1 gene, or its fragment, or the protein encoded by it, or its variants, or its fragments, can be used to induce a humoral or cellular immune response; antibodies or T cells capable of interacting with STEAP-1 can be used for active or passive immunization. |
