abstract The method according to the invention relates to the decomposition in a fluidized bed of metal sulfates formed in the metallurgical industry. The decomposition of metal sulfates is carried out in such a way that the formed metal oxides are extracted in such pure form that they can be reused in the manufacture of metal alloys such as steel. In particular, nickel, iron and chromium containing sulphates are decomposed under oxidative conditions using pyrites or pyrrhotite as fuel and layer material.
