abstract | The invention relates to a thermosetting powder paint composition comprising a thermosetting amorphous polyamide. Amorphous polyamide has a glass transition temperature of from 20 to 200 ° C. The polyamide may be a polyamide with a carboxy, hydroxy or amino functional group. A polyamide with a carboxy functional group has an acid number of 10 to 150 mg KOH / g resin. The invention also relates to a thermosetting powder paint composition comprising a thermosetting amorphous polyamide and an additive containing copper halide and another halide. The invention also relates to a method for coating a substrate under conditions of low curing temperature, which includes the following steps: a) optional pre-treatment and / or pre-heating of the substrate; b) applying to the substrate a thermosetting powder composition comprising an amorphous polyamide and a crosslinking agent; c) heating the coated substrate after step (b) to a temperature and for such a time that at least partially cures the coating; and d) optionally carrying out a second curing step. The invention also relates to substrates fully or partially coated with thermosetting powder paint. |
