abstract The invention relates to the field of transportation of high-melting oils and allows to improve their rheological properties. The technical result of the invention is to improve the properties of the depressant, reducing the effective concentration of the depressant, pour point and viscosity of oil and oil products to be transported. The technical result is achieved by a depressant additive, which is a condensation product of polyoxyethylene sorbitan ester with carboxylic anhydrides in an amount of 0.005-0.50 wt.%. The technical result of the invention in part of the method is to simplify it. A method of producing a depressant for oils and petroleum products by condensation of a polyhydric alcohol with an acidic organic component in the presence of a catalyst, characterized in that the condensation is carried out in an aprotic organic solvent medium followed by the addition of a diluent, and polyoxyethylene sorbitan ester is used as a polyhydric alcohol. trioleate, monolaurate or polyoxyethylene sorbitan monostearate, as an acidic organic component - ali dianhydrides aticheskih, alicyclic, aromatic tetracarboxylic acids, alkyl- and halogen-containing alicyclic dianhydrides of tetracarboxylic acids. A depressant additive is used as a solution in a mixture of an aprotic organic solvent with alkyl benzenes and pyridine.
