abstract |
This invention relates to a process for the production of titanium by the reaction of titanium tetrachloride with magnesium in a reactor, the temperature in this reactor being above the melting point of magnesium and below the melting point of magnesium chloride, the reaction leading to the formation of titanium-containing particles, and these particles are removed from the reactor and treated for the extraction of titanium. |
