titleOfInvention METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE DEGREE OF DEPRESSION
abstract The method relates to medicine, in particular to psychiatry, as well as to iridology, engaged in the study of various diseases as the iris. The objective of the invention is to determine the severity of depressive syndromes by the nature of the severity around the pupillary ring. The problem is solved by the fact that at a magnification of 2 or 3 times with a magnifying glass, a pupillary ring is detected darker than the iris, the configuration and dimensions of which are associated with the severity of depressive manifestations, namely: a weakly expressed degree of depression is diagnosed to identify a ring up to 1.5 mm wide; by identifying a ring 1.5-2.5 mm wide with uneven, sometimes intermittent edges, partially or completely merging with the pupil, diagnose moderate depression; by identifying a ring more than 2.5 mm wide with even or uneven edges, clearly manifested at a certain distance from the pupil, the most severe degree of depression is diagnosed. The essence of the above signs is of clinical and diagnostic value and has a prognostic value, confirming that with depression, regardless of its etiology, a common external symptom is found - around the pupillary ring. As the condition improves around, the pupillary ring turns pale and disappears completely when it comes out of depression.
