titleOfInvention SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MEASUREMENT USING MICROELECTRODES BASED ON DIAMOND
abstract A method and system is disclosed for tracking one or more fluid related characteristics. An insulating layer containing non-conductive diamond (121) is located inside the enclosure and has a surface that is directly or indirectly exposed to this fluid. A plurality of microelectrodes (100), each of which is made of electrically conductive diamond, have a surface that is directly or indirectly exposed to the fluid. An electrical circuit that is in electrical communication with microelectrodes is adapted to convert electrical signals from microelectrodes to at least one signal associated with a tracked characteristic. This measurement system is well adapted for hydrocarbon well applications, but can also be used in other applications.
