RECEIVING SILICATE OR GLASS IN A FURNACE WITH BURNERS SHIPPED IN A RESTORING MEDIUM |
abstract |
The invention relates to a method for producing a silicate of an element selected from alkaline, alkaline earth or rare earth elements, comprising the reaction between silicon dioxide and sulfate of the aforementioned element in a reactor equipped with at least one burner immersed in the molten mass, while the aforementioned immersion burner is fed with gas containing oxygen, and an excess of reducing fuel is introduced into the reactor with respect to the effectively consumed oxygen. The method provides a satisfactory course of the reaction at a relatively low temperature. |
