abstract The present invention provides a new method for purifying a protein of the EGFR family obtained from insect cell cultures. The process contains the successive steps of a) diafiltration and replacement of the culture medium with a buffer; b) immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC); c) size exclusion chromatography (SEC), f) anion exchange chromatography (AIE). The method also provides an immunogenic variant of the HER-2 protein, for which the purification process is mainly adapted, as well as the means to produce this variant.
