REGULATION OF THE RELATION OF ETHYLENE TO PROPYLENE, OBTAINED IN THE PROCESS OF TURNING OXYGEN SUBSTANCE TO OLEFINE |
abstract |
The invention describes various methods for producing methanol and ethanol, preferably in a mixed alcohol stream. In one embodiment, an object of the invention includes directing synthesis gas to a synthesis zone in which the synthesis gas comes into contact with a methanol synthesis catalyst and an ethanol synthesis catalyst under conditions effective to form methanol and ethanol. Methanol and ethanol in the target ratio are sent to the reaction system for converting the oxygen-containing substance into olefins to convert them to ethylene and propylene in the target ratio. Methods are also described for varying the mass ratio of ethylene to propylene formed in the reaction system for converting an oxygen-containing substance into olefins. |
