Inhalation anesthetics have been developed, which have a number of properties, including the onset of effect and recovery, controllability and, ideally, a wide safety profile. The effectiveness of these drugs is measured by their ability to induce anesthesia in combination with other desirable properties. The present invention focuses on the dosage level at which anesthesia occurs, but no amnesia or loss of consciousness occurs. In addition to determining the dosage level at which the pain is dramatically reduced or completely relieved, but consciousness remains, a system for safe and effective drug delivery is also proposed. The system contains a system (10) associated indexing. Oxygen from source O (16) passes through the supply line (22), which has a sensitive pressure regulator (18), to the flow meter (20). |
