abstract The present invention relates to the use of cytidine-5'-diphosphocholine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for the manufacture of an agent for the prophylaxis or treatment of toxic (drug-induced) peripheral neuropathy. Preferably, the agent is in a dosage form for oral administration, and toxic (drug-induced) peripheral neuropathy is caused by a pharmaceutical product, a toxic substance or ethanol. The agent for the prophylaxis or treatment of toxic neuropathy according to the present invention exhibits a pronounced positive effect in toxic neuropathy and is excellent in safety.
