abstract |
The invention relates to a novel identified polynucleotide sequence containing a gene that encodes a novel lipolytic enzyme from Aspergillus niger. The features of the present invention are the nucleotide sequence of the full length of the new gene, the cDNA sequence containing the full length sequence encoding the new lipolytic enzyme, as well as the amino acid sequence of a functional full length protein and their functional equivalents. The present invention also relates to methods of using such enzymes in industrial processes and methods for diagnosing fungal infections. Also included in the present invention are cells transformed with a polynucleotide of the present invention and cells in which the lipolytic enzyme of the present invention has been genetically modified to enhance its activity and / or expression level. |
