The present invention generally relates to the creation of a method for the extraction of copper and other metals from metal-containing materials using controlled ultrafine grinding, which allows to reduce the particle size to P98 less than approximately 25 microns, and medium temperature (140-180 ° C) autoclave leaching. Processes using various aspects of the present invention can be successfully used to extract various metals, such as copper, gold, silver, nickel, cobalt, molybdenum, rhenium, zinc, uranium and platinum group metals, from metal-containing materials, and such processes are particularly advantageous in the case of extraction of copper from ores and concentrates of copper sulfide. |
