Thienyl-, furyl-, pyrrolyl- and phenylsulfonamides, preparations based on their pharmaceutically acceptable derivatives and methods for modulating or changing the activity of endothelin family peptides are presented. In particular, N- (isoxazolyl) thienylsulfonamides, N- (isoxazolyl) furylsulfonamides, N- (isoxazolyl) pyrrolylsulfonamides and N- (isoxazolyl) phenylsulfonamides, preparations based on them and methods for using these sulfonamides to inhibit endothelin peptidol binding are represented contact of the receptor with sulfonamide. Also provided are methods of treating endothelin-related disorders, comprising administering effective amounts of one or more sulfonamides or their pharmaceutically acceptable derivatives that inhibit endothelin activity. |
