abstract An electrorheological, magnetorheological or electromagnetorheological fluid medium containing a medium in which a film-coated powder containing base magnetic particles having a coating layer (s) is dispersed is proposed. The dispersed powder has a color of light interference between coating layers that differ in refractive index, each layer containing a conductive material or a dielectric material, and the dielectric constant of the layers is different from the dielectric constant of the base particles. Due to this arrangement, the fluid has the ability to be easily activated when an electric and magnetic field is applied to it, and in the case of its use in color inkjet printing, it allows an image to be recorded with high persistence.
