abstract | A safe and simple method for producing 1-chlorocarbonyl-4-piperidinopiperidine or its hydrochloride in high yield has been proposed. This method is characterized in that it comprises reacting 4-piperidinopiperidine with a trialkylsilyl halide to form 4-piperidinopiperidinyltrialkylsilyl, reacting the obtained compound with carbon dioxide gas to give 4-piperidinopiperidinyltrialkylsilylcarbamate, and reacting this compound with 4-piperidyl chloride and, if necessary, treating this compound with a strong base. |
