abstract A clip is provided for attaching to an article having an attachment portion of a predetermined shape and size. The body of the clip is at least partially made of a superelastic alloy and has a slightly smaller opening in it than the part to be attached. The body of the clip contains an attachment means, which can be in the form of small holes, to which an external tensile force can be applied, which is sufficient in magnitude and direction to receive the part of the article to be attached. When the tensile force ceases to act, the hole resiliently tends to its original size, contracting on the attached part. A tool is also contemplated that is attached to the body of the clamp to transmit a tensile force to the body.
