1. A method of inhibiting vascular smooth muscle cell migration comprising administering to a human or other mammal in need of treatment an effective amount of a compound having the formula or wherein R1 and R3 are independently hydrogen, wherein Ar is represents phenyl, or phenyl, mono or di-substituted C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, hydroxy, nitro, chlorine, fluorine or tri (chlorine or fluorine) methyl; R2 is pyrrolidino, hexamethyleneimino, or piperidino; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and solvates thereof. 2. The method of Claim 1 wherein said compound is the hydrochloride salt thereof. 3. The method of Claim 1 wherein said compound is or its hydrochloride salt. 4. The method of Claim 1 wherein said administration is for inhibition of atherosclerosis, restenosis, inflammation, or malignant invasion. |
